THIS BOOK REPORT IS ON ADELIN YEN MAH By.Riley

 Adeline Yen Mah was born in Tianjin, China, and trained to be a doctor in London. She has had a distinguished career in medicine in the United States. “Chinese Cinderella” is her book for young adults. About her life as a unwanted child. ADELINE YEN MAH

 Chinese Cinderella, The True Story of An Unwanted Daughter, is the autobiographical account of Adeline Yen Mah's childhood, covering her life during the ages from four through her early teen years. CHINESE CINDERELLA

MAMA. Third Brother tells her:  It all stems from our mama dying when you were born. Big Sister and our two older brothers knew her better than I did. I only remember her a little. Things were much nicer when she was alive. You made her go away

 Not only does her brothers and sisters think of her as bad luck when. They give adeline a very hard time about they are very mean and rude adeline. Wishising that she was never born so their mama can be with them. BAD LUCK

CHINESE CINDERELLA After her mother dies giving birth to her, Adeline’s affluent, powerful family considers her bad luck. Life does not get any easier when her father remarries.

WWhen her father remarries adeline and her siblings are subjected to their stepmother’s disdain, while her half brother and half sister are thoroughly spoiled. Although Adeline wins prizes at school, they are not what she really yearns for – the love and understanding of her family.. REMARRIES

 Aunt baba is a very careing lady. Who loves and cares for adeline very much. aunt baba saves mostley every think of adeline and puts it in her lock box of the key she weres around her neck AUNT BABA

 Four-year-old Adeline proudly showed Aunt Baba the medal she received from the kindergarten teacher for being the best student of the week. Aunt Baba was proud of her little niece and put the certificate that Adele received along with the medal into her lock box, the same place she kept her precious jewels and other valuables. It meant that much to her. Aunt Baba had cared for Adeline since she was two weeks old, when her mother died. Adeline always asked to see pictures of her mother but Aunt Baba had no pictures her. Adeline learned years later that her father had ordered all pictures of her mother destroyed

 A deline story is seen through the filter of time, and, perhaps her own, old defensive guard is up. At any rate, she simply does not ask for nor expect any sympathy, (with the possible exception of the interlude with PLT, Precious Little Treasure, which I leave you to read for yourself). PLT..

CHINESE CINDERELLA  A Chinese proverb says, “Falling leaves return to their roots.” In Chinese Cinderella, Adeline Yen Mah returns to her roots to paints an authentic portrait of twentieth-century China as well as to tell the story of her courage and ultimate triumph over despair.
