Problem Description Course Planning Guide (CPG) Thirty-six page document which contains all of the university's courses and their availability for the current year. Adobe Reader format is not very user friendly. Typical students are primarily concerned with their College/Major.

Problem Description (cont.) PickList Client-side program that allows university faculty and staff to input courses and update their availability. Requires Novell to be installed. Unappealing, duplication of menu items, inefficient.

Deliverables Course Data View Courses. Administrative section to add/update/delete. Restricting access for College Admins. and Departmental Users.

Deliverables Colleges and Disciplines System Admins. will be able to add/update/delete all colleges and disciplines. College Admins. will be able to add/update/delete disciplines specific to their associated college.

Deliverables Managing Users System Admins. will be able to add/update/delete all users and their associated data.

Summary Students will be able to find what they need easily and quickly. UC’s registrar department saves time and money. Potential for staff and faculty notifications, other applications utilizing CPG data.
