Sharks are the most fearsome predatory fish of the seas. There are 375 species living mostly in warm seas. Sharks have a skeleton made of rubbery cartilage - most other kinds of fish have bony skeletons.
Dolphins Dolphins are sea creatures that belong to the same family as whales ! Dolphins are highly intelligent marine mammals. They are found worldwide, mostly in shallow seas of the continental shelves,and are mostly eating fish, squid. Dolphin colour varies, but they are generally grey in colour with darker backs then the rest of their bodies.
Sea urchins Sea urchins are ball – shaped creatures. Their shell is covered with bristling spines, which can be poisonous and can grow up to 40cm long in some species.
Jelly fish Jelly fish live in the sea and are found in all oceans. Some jelly fish live in fresh water. Jelly fish look like umbrellas. Jelly fish can be large and brightly coloured. They can often be transparent (see through) or translucent (semi translucent).
Star fish A star fish isn’t really a fish. Star fish are also called sea stars. Star fish are a echinoderm. A echinoderm is a type of marine animal that have a similar number of body parts arranged around a central axis.
