What can you do to best prepare for college now?  Take hard courses (i.e. CORE 40 diploma)  Develop good study skills  Practice good attendance  Work on social skills

High School Diploma vs. GED High School Diploma GED  Need 42 credits to graduate and pass ECA exams.  Can go to college.  Can qualify for financial aid.  Can maintain the 21 st Century Scholarship (if you are a scholar).  Need to pass the GED test.  Can go to college.  Can qualify for financial aid.  Will lose the 21 st Century Scholarship (if you are a scholar).

Test your College Knowledge!!!  Pre-requisite  Dual Credit  PSAT  College Major  ASVAB  College courses are worth __ credits  A class you’re required to take in order to be eligible to take another class.  Earning high school credit and college credit for the same course (i.e. Ms. Erb’s English 12 class).  The “Pre SAT” Test which helps you to prepare for the SAT test, match you with colleges, and qualifies you for the National Merit Scholar Program.  A specific area of study in which the majority of classes have been taken.  Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. 33
