The nature of Jesus Christ teaching

John 7:46 “The officers answered, Never man spake like this man”

If one failed to see His teaching, it was because he blinded his eyes and refused to open his mind. He used simple words His teaching was simple

If one failed to see His teaching, it was because he blinded his eyes and refused to open his mind. His teaching was simple He used short sentences

If one failed to see His teaching, it was because he blinded his eyes and refused to open his mind. His teaching was simple He used illustrations

His enemies understood

Matt 21:45 “And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them”

Luke 20:19 “And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them”

Quote: “If you want to feed all the animals, you would put the food on the ground where it would be accessible to all!”

He taught What people needed, Not what they wanted to hear. He taught with authority

Matt 7:28-29 “And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes”

Mark 1:22 “And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes”

Luke 4:32 “And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power”

Luke 10:16 “He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me”

He never compromised truth

John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”

John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth”

He silenced the critics

Matt 22:34 “But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together”

Luke 20:26 “And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace”

Luke 20:40 “And after that they durst not ask him any question at all”

Deep in truth or deep in sin.

“I was sinking deep in sin Far from the peaceful shore, Very deeply stained within Sinking to rise no more; But the Master of the sea/ Heard my despairing cry, From the waters lifted me Now safe am I.”

We should drink deeply from the well of truth

Luke 20:40-41:6 “And after that they durst not ask him any question at all. And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son? And David himself saith…”

Luke 20:40-41:6 “…in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies thy footstool. David therefore calleth…”

Luke 20:40-41:6 “…him Lord, how is he then his son? Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples, Beware of the scribes, which desire to…”

Luke 20:40-41:6 “…walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts; Which…”

Luke 20:40-41:6 “…devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation. 21:1 And he looked up, and saw…”

Luke 20:40-41:6 “…the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto…”

Luke 20:40-41:6 “…you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she…”

Luke 20:40-41:6 “…of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had. And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts…”

Luke 20:40-41:6 “…he said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not bethrown down.”

Luke 21:37-38 “And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives…”

Luke 21:38-39 “…And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him”
