Did this book affect you? Yes, this book made me feel bad for people with asperger’s. Asperger’s is a social problem that makes it hard for kids to make friends. John tries to overcome his asperger’s by helping out KISS with their guitars and making new friends along the way.

Connection to A and P? Asperger’s is believed to be an affected right side of the brain, the right side/frontal lobe is responsible for social awareness and behavior. Asperger’s has no real treatment you have to try to work past it and try to relate and act like other humans.

Would you recommend this book? I would recommend this book to others because it was an interesting read on the life of a guy with asperger’s. This book shows the struggles they have to deal with and how smart they are.

What is the theme? The theme of the book “ Look me in the eye” was you should never doubt someone that couldn’t do things as a kid. John was a wild child when growing up but that made him the person he is today and got him the jobs he did.

What is the thesis? The thesis is that the “crazy” one ends up the most stable and sane in his family. Johns mother ended up being inside a mental hospital, his father was an alcoholic, and his brother rely’s on John and his money.
