STA and BISHTA will be providing: Affordable qualifications with suitable resources Range of bite-sized courses A mixture of online and face to face requirements What is being offered?

Level 1 is the equivalent of GCSE D-G Level 2 is the equivalent of a GCSE A*-C Level 3 is the equivalent of an A Level/B Tec Level 4 is the equivalent of HNC/B Tec Dip fication-and-component-levels/) What do the Levels mean?

Based on minimum course numbers of 6 people: Approx £149 for the Surveyor course Approx £299 for the Installer course Approx £499 for the Technician course * * Please note that there are other costs for this qualification, that will need to be paid for separately by the candidate. What are the costs?

Please be aware that a pilot course is being proposed to be held at Andover and places will be available on this course at the discounted price of just £75 for BISHTA members. The course is planned for Tuesday 8 th March Feedback on the course from participants will be invaluable. Pilot course

Pilot course for the hot tub surveyor qualification requires a minimum of 8 people booked on it by Tuesday 16 th February What happens next?

The installer qualification will be completed by Easter 2016 and a pilot course is anticipated to be held in Autumn The technician qualification will be completed no later than Easter 2017 and a pilot course is anticipated to be held in Autumn Plans for the other courses

What should be the pre requisites for attending the technician course? Is the appropriate minimum age 18 (or younger)? What prior learning and / or experience should we acknowledge to ensure courses are fit for purpose for long term employees? Will you wish to train your own staff using this qualification (in-house)? Are the costs reasonable for the courses? Comments for discussion
