Banham Zoo Trip 2015 This is my group having an photograph together. It was very exciting, we were just going to look at the animals at Banham Zoo.

Giraffe There is only one species of giraffes but many subspecies. Their closed relative is the Okapi found in the Africa forest. Giraffes are not classed as endangered however they are threatened in many areas by habitat lost and hunting. Giraffes are found on the dry savannahs of Africa, south of the Sahara.

Zebra Each zebra has a unique stripe pattern just like a human’s fingerprint. There are currently only around 750 that are adults remaining in the wild. Grevy-zebras are herbivores, plants eaters mostly feeding on grass but also plants bark and roots.

Black-Footed Penguin There are species of penguins ranging in size from the little blue penguin 40cm tall to the emperor Penguin 110cm tall.

Threat The black footed penguin is endangered due to food shortages Through over fishing pollution habitat loss and eggs collection. Black – Footed Penguin Habitat All penguins are found in the southern hemisphere. Black-footed or African penguins live around the coast of South Africa. Diet The Black – footed penguin mainly feeds on pilchards as well as anchovies. Behaviour Black – footed penguin usually nest in burrows dug in sand.
