DEPOSITION AND CANOPY PENETRATING AID

Features and Benefits Unique modified seed oil formulation – Slows drying time allowing the pesticide more time to work – Emulsifies easily in water with pesticides – May be used with most any type of nozzles, including air induction and other fine reducing nozzles

Features and Benefits Spray droplet management – Provides more uniform droplet sizes – Manipulates the full droplet spectrum – Reduces small droplets that can drift – Minimizes chemical trespass – Speeds the droplet to the target

Droplet size across a Range Ohio State Univ. - Dr. Roger Downer Ideal range to decrease drift is 300 to 500 microns

Droplet Size Composite Ohio State Univ. - Dr. Roger Downer

Driftable Fraction-% Droplets under 150m Ohio State Univ. - Dr. Roger Downer

Features and Benefits Increased droplet speed – Gets droplets on target faster than water – Speeds the delivery of the pesticide – Improves coverage – Less chance of spray drift

Average velocity in meters/second Ohio State Univ. - Dr. Roger Downer

Features and Benefits Increased Deposition (spray deposit) – Gets more droplets on target – Improves coverage – Better penetration of the crop canopy Note: All factors, including the condition and settings of the equipment and wind speed and direction, humidity and temperature must all be taken into account to properly manage deposition.

Canopy Penetration / Coverage

Downdraft Yield Enhancement +2 bu. corn means $12+/acre 2008 KSU Aerial Trial w/ Dr. Bob Wolf

Downdraft Disease Reduction

Features and Benefits Use Rates – Fungicide, herbicide and insecticide- 4 oz. per acre – EC’s and Aqueous formulations- 4-6 ounces per acre – DF’s, LF’s and WP’s- 4 oz. per acre – Do not exceed 1% v/v of the spray solution.

Summary Downdraft enhances activity by ensuring that the active ingredient gets to the intended target Downdraft delivers more droplets into the canopy and onto the leaves increasing effectiveness Downdraft helps increase yields and profit opportunities!!
