Weber-Morgan Health Department Mobile Sources (I/M) Air Quality Advisory Committee Purpose – advise and counsel on current rules, policies, technology and other specific issues as they arise Members – New Car Dealerships, Independent Stations, Fleet Management, Aftermarket Industry, Education, Environmental and Consumer Groups and Government

Air Quality Advisory Committee Members - I/M Program Emissions Inspection Stations, Major Source Emitters, Small Source Emitters, Education, Environmental and Consumer Groups, Air Monitoring Technology Industry, Weber County Citizens, and Government. Representation from any one area should not be in sufficient numbers to create a quorum.

Advisory Capacity The Committee shall participate in the analysis of “problem areas” (as defined by Environmental Health, the Department or the Board) at the request of Environmental Health, the Department or the Board The Committee shall participate in an advisory capacity by reviewing air quality related rules, procedures, materials, contracts, and complaints lodged by the public with the Board. It shall be the duty of the Committee to make evaluations and recommendations to the Board concerning these issues.

Covert Penalty Changes - Tech Technician 1 st – Warning and Training 2 nd – 3 Month Suspension and Training 3 rd – Revoke Reset if two consecutive covert audits done successfully

Covert Penalty Changes - Station The owner/operator has a responsibility to provide a working environment to the tester/technician conducive to performing complete and thorough emissions tests. Owner/Operators whose technicians fail to perform correctly on covert audit inspections will receive a written warning for each violation and will receive a three month suspension after three written warnings. Subsequent violations may result in additional suspensions or revocation.
