Relationships: Parents and Children Anastasia Glazunova, Issy Croneen, Jen Mora, Alex Mun, Tommy Thevenet

Relationships Between Parents and Children Relationships between children and their parents. Diverse parents and their kids react differently from each other: –M–Marlin and Nemo: Marlin is overprotective; Nemo wants to have fun –C–Crush and Squirt: Crush lets Squirt go on adventures; they are like friends/buddies.

Marlin’s dedication to find Nemo In the beginning of the movie Marlin said, “There, there, there. It's okay, Daddy's here, daddy's got you. I promise I will never let anything happen to you... Nemo.” Marlin became an overprotective dad because of what he said. Nemo rebelled and got abducted Marlin could have easily given up

Since Coral, Marlin’s wife, died, Marlin has constantly been paranoid about Nemo’s safety. “I will never let anything happen to you.”— Marlin. The above quote sums up how overprotective Marlin was toward Nemo. Nemo is a child so he just wants to explore and have fun. With all of these different views on Nemo’s independence, Marlin and Nemo’s relationship is under extreme pressure. How Marlin and Nemo’s relationship was at first:

When Nemo and Marlin were apart, it was as if they replaced each other with different fish.  Marlin found Dory  Nemo found Gill Could it be that Marlin always needed someone to take care of? Or that Nemo just needed a bit of space to make his own decisions? Replacements?

Crush and his son, Squirt’s, relationship: Crush is a “cool” parent They share more of a brotherly or “friendly” love Have a lot of fun together Crush isn’t strict or controlling like Marlin

Example of Crush & Squirt’s “Fun” Relationship Squirt:Whoa! That was so cool! Hey, Dad! Did you see that? Did you see me? Did you see what I did? Crush:You so totally rock, Squirt! So gimme some fin.[they slap fins] Crush:Noggin'.[bump heads] Squirt & Crush: Dude! ******************************************************** Squirt:Sweeeeet. Crush: Totally.

Changed Relationship between Nemo and Marlin ﻩ Marlin trusts Nemo to help Dory and swim into the fishing net ﻩ Marlin becomes less overprotective ﻩ Nemo isn’t embarrassed by his father anymore ﻩ Nemo tells Marlin that he loves him ﻩ Nemo listens more to Marlin ﻩ Now Marlin is no longer afraid to let Nemo live his own life

The End Have a nice day dude!
