Hilton coral reef, Indian ocean By: Abdulraheem

Location on map This is how it looks like on a world map: Maldives is on the south of India it is consists over 100 islands.

3 plants- corals

Blue marlin (sword fish) A blue marlin can live in cold temperature and hot temperature it is similar to a sword fish, it is really popular around the Indian ocean this fish is about 15ft to 22ft long which is quiet big. They eat smaller fish like jack fish, tuna fish Wahoo fish and others.

Black and white reef sharks A reef shark is an vegetarian shark it wont attack a human being at all unless you touch it would attack you but wont use its teeth it is quiet a friendly fish. These sharks eat dirt from corals. It gets the correct food around where it lives.

Dolphins Dolphins are found everywhere around Maldives they are popular around there people enjoy them. Dolphins eat fishes like herring, cod or mackerel, some others eat squids. It swims in any temperature and it finds its food a everywhere.

A biotic factors The weather there is about 5 degrees C to 15 degrees C. in the summer about 25 degrees C to 40 degrees C. it rains every about 3 days during summer but about every day or every other day during winter.

Minerals and oil High-end Collector Mineral Specimens, General Mineral Specimens, Rare Mineral Species, Fluorescent Minerals, Gold and Silver Specimens, Gem minerals and many more. The population of oil in Maldives is quiet big because they need to keep the boats and sea plains going using oil and gas and that’s the only transportation they have. Oil and gas is also used for diving kits and for the gas tanks and that is helped you to actually discover the undersea.

How was science helped to discover resources Something that helped us go in to the water is the scuba diving kit which can make you go down into the water and discovers corals, fishes and what happens underwater and how stuff work.

Human activities that affect biome Fishing is done a lot in Maldives and it really affects the enviournment because it kills or it takes out a lot of fish that can be a big part of a food chain and because of that bigger fishes suffer when that happens too much.

How has natural resource affect the enviournment Pressures on water resources are increasing mainly as a result of human activity population growth, increased living standards, growing competition for water, and pollution.
