Archetype introduction

Video lecture As you watch, make a list of archetypes and include one or two of the descriptors that resonate with you. You will not have time to write down all the information.

Application- full class Look back at your list. Where have we seen FLOWERS used as archetypical symbols? Where have we seen the GARDEN? The SERPENT? Have there been any JOURNIES in our literature so far?

Application – table teams Think of stories like Harry Potter, the Hobbit, Star Wars, and fairy tales Using your list, try to think of examples of EACH archetype from the video lecture.
