IMPROVE ADULT STUDENTS’ CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION IN THEIR EDUCATION ENVIRONMENT Foster the acquisition of cross-curricular key competences, like learning to learn, sense of innitiative and entrepreneurship and awareness and expression of culture Give more importance to the role of cultural organizations (such as museums, libraries, etc.), civil society, sport organizations and other institutions involved in non-formal and informal aldult learning Better use of technologies of information and communication

. PROBLEM The traditional education system is based on the idea of producing equal learning processes in students from whom equal responses are expected SOLUTION It is necessary to promote CREATIVITY when working in education with young and adult students

 The methodology proposals are related to an adult’s capacity of being creative and expressive, in a way of trying to recover or unblock natural processes inhibited by fear however it is shown, and make the adult aware of self-observation and observation of the environment, both aiming at personal development as at making it easier for other aldults: the educatior needs to develop his/her own creativity in order to enhance his or her students’ one.

Now, down to earth and reality :

-In our daily teaching life it is only sometimes possible to be creative -Being creative depends on the course your teaching and the type of education (formal, non-formal or informal) -In formal education, normally, the teacher is tied up with a very tight curriculum which we try to cram into the students’ heads in a record time.

In spite of this, still teachers have a slot to be creative: -Proposing different types of exercises -Using the new technologies in the classroom: computers, iwb, s… -Different types of exams -Adopting his/her methodology to the student’s learning style -Getting involved in innovation projects -Creating groups in google +, facebook, …
