Tips: Finding Primary Sources for WWII Journal Project: Database: Student Resources in Context Password: nighthawks Step 1: Search either your person’s name OR World War II Step 2: Your search will provide groups of sources in boxes, look for the Primary Sources box and click the “primary sources” link Step 3: Click and read some of the primary source documents that you think you can use as a source for your journals

Tips: Finding Primary Sources for WWII Journal Project: Database: Power Search Password: nighthawks Step 1: Search either your person’s name OR World War II Step 2: *In the rectangle box along the right side of the page, select the “document type” link Step 3: Document types that are primary sources include Interviews, Personal Accounts, Letters or Speeches. Click on one of those links and you have a new list of primary source articles Step 4: * Look for the “Sort By” options at the top, right and select “Relevance”. This puts the best primary sources at the top of the list
