Barents Freeway: Objectives Integration of the current transport strategies, plans and projects of each country into the Common Barents Region Transport Strategy. To create a platform for applying system approach when making decisions and launching synergy effect in developing transport infrastructure. Elimination of border constraints in order to add fluency of transport flows, to improve accessibility of regional, national and international markets for the producers of the Barents Region and to accelerate the integration of local economies of the Region into the global economy. 3
