Who was Ivan Pavlov? zIzIvan Pavlov was a Russian scientist who discovered the principles of Classical Conditioning while doing research on digestion.

The Man Himself...

What did Ivan do? yPavlov trained dogs to salivate at the sound of a bell ( & tuning fork) and invented a formula to replicate his results.

How does Classical Conditioning Work? zClassical Conditioning = A form of learning through involuntary association.

WHAT???????? zNS + UCS =UCR zNeutral Stimulus + Unconditioned Stimulus = Unconditioned Response zBELL + FOOD = SALIVATION yCS = CR yConditioned Stimulus= Conditioned Response xBell = Drool
