Wear proper clothing Avoid loose fitting clothes Avoid neckties and jewelry Put up or wear long hair under a cap Safety eyewear based on activity --goggles- chemicals --glasses- drills, grinders, etc. Hearing protection when noise is a problem

Use ventilation When operating engines in enclosed area When using gasoline, solvents,etc that create toxic fumes

Use compressed air properly Always use safety goggles Never use compressed air to clean a person

Lift properly Ask for help if necessary Lift with legs, not the back and keep the back straight

Use proper electrical procedure Always check wires on a piece of equipment before using\ Always make sure electrical equipment is grounded

Operating engines Do not operate at speeds greater than recommended Never tamper with governor settings to increase max. speed.
