Quality Control Procedures QC after CSC transportation at CERN Test station No.3 QC after CSC assembling at PNPI Test station No.1 Test station No.2 QC procedures during CSC manufacturing Input QC procedures

This test procedure is based on postulate that chamber already designed, the chamber design already carefully investigated, tested and validated. This test procedure is a final stage of the chamber mass production. The goal of this test is to verify that the chamber made in accordance with the production documents, there are no production defects from electrical point of view. QC after CSC assembling at PNPI

Sensor network integrity Check sensor capacitance both anode and cathode (the capacitance value and tolerance should be set). Apparatus: Capacitance measuring tool (manual or automated). Measure sensor connectivity (should be measured on anode and cathode sides). To measure anode wire connectivity send test pulse to the cathode strip and check response of the test pulses at the anode terminals. To measure cathode strip connectivity send test pulse to the anode wire and check response of the test pulses at the cathode terminals. Apparatus: Pulse generator (~15ns rise time, ~1  s pulse width, >1V amplitude). Oscilloscope. Test station No.1

Measure gas gain uniformity. Fill the chamber with real gas mixture. Apply normal value of HV. Put radioactive source (caesium-137) at the special selected points. Measure collected charge (current) at the anode outputs at each point. Apparatus: Nanoamperemeter.        Current and counting rates measurements. Fill the chamber with real gas mixture. Measure via high voltage: - dark current and counting rate; - current and counting rate with source. Apparatus: Nanoamperemeter. Set of readout electronics (32 channels) for anode and cathode. Test station No.2

Check grounding and shielding quality. Assemble all front-end electronics, connect read out electronics. Set thresholds voltages for working value. Start readout run (no HV applied). The noise count should not exceed threshold. Apparatus: complete set of real electronics, DAQ test version. Check of CSC parameters after its transportation at CERN Re-measure all CSC parameters obtained at PNPI Cosmic tests ? Test station No.3 (at CERN)
