Innovation Systems and Multi-Stakeholder Platforms AgKnowledge Innovation Share Fair May 2015 Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Why multi-stakeholder platforms for innovation? 1.Different stakeholder groups provide various insights about the biophysical, technological and institutional dimensions of the problem, and what type of innovations are technically feasible, economically viable, and social-culturally and politically acceptable 2.Stakeholder groups become aware of their fundamental interdependencies and the need for collective action to address their constraints 3.Stakeholder groups are more likely to support specific solutions when they have been part of the decision- making process

Why a role play? Participants: – Experience and reflect on multi- stakeholder platform dynamics – Practice facilitation competences to support and foster concerted interaction and action in multi- stakeholder innovation processes

The role play story
