SAWSS DATA 2015 Around 65 of KS 3&4 pupils are young carers Around 20% live with only one parent About 11% get extra help at school Between 16-22% don't feel they belong at their school In the last few weeks: 12% of pupils have felt scared or afraid 20% of pupils have felt miserable and sad 28% have felt angry (extremely and quite a bit) % have issues with food 20% drink alcohol a lot 12% take drugs 8% take sexual risks 15% have suicidal thoughts 11.5% self harm ( often or sometimes) Over 70% of pupils don't feel they know an adult they can talk to about their worries or feelings. 80% have not asked for help with feelings and worries
