SUMMARY Diagnosis is paramount -biology of primary -extent of bony spread -extent of extra-osseous involvement - is the tumour causing the problem

Primary Tumours Primary bone tumours are RARE 0.5% Primary spinal tumours are even RARER <0.05%

SUMMARY Surgery very effective in properly selected cases with specific aims -advances in technology -anaesthetic advances All these patients will succumb to their disease.
