The End!!!

HaHaHa April Fools!!! This is a very simple example of an April Fools’ joke. You were either confused or actually believed this show was over. Too bad it’s not there’s 35 more slides to go through so have fun!

How It Began It used to be that countries celebrated New Years on April 1st. It was the usual celebration that we have today, parties, pranks, and celebrating. When science became more involved with time, they found a new, more accurate, and steady calendar. This led to the change from New Years being on April 1st to January 1st. This holiday could not just simply be dropped, people would pull pranks on others by sending them on "fool's errands or as they were called. So came the name Fool's Day. April Fool's Day has been the "accident holiday", but it is still a fun day to participate with by pulling a few pranks.

 The butts of these pranks became known as a “poisson d’avril” or “April fish” because a young naïve fish is easily caught;  One common practice was to hook a paper fish on the back of someone as a joke

CELEBRATION IN ENGLAND AND SCOTLAND  In Scotland April Fool’s Day is devoted to spoofs involving buttocks and as such is called Taily Day. The butts of these jokes are known as April ‘Gowk’, another name for cuckoo bird. The origins of “Kick me” sign can be traced back to the Scottish observance.  In England, jokes are played only in the morning. Fools are called ‘gobs’ or ‘gobby’ and the victim of a joke is called a ‘noodle’. It was considered bad luck to play a practical joke on someone after noon.

Pranks  Pies are smashed into faces.  Water is dropped on heads.  Doors open and close mysteriously.  Tell the kids they have school.  Tell adults they have work.  Water balloons drop from the sky.  Hook a paper fish on the back of someone as a joke.!
