Presentation transcript:

Norfolk’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment Norfolk’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is an assessment of our current and future health and wellbeing needs. It includes information on a wide range of issues that affect our wellbeing, including how fit and well we are, the way we live, and issues relating to the environment we live in. The JSNA is published as an online information source available at – norfolkinsight.org.uk/jsna This is an infographic summary of some of the key facts from the JSNA and gives a picture of health and wellbeing in Norfolk. We have presented the information by life-stages, setting out some of the main issues affecting people’s health and wellbeing at each stage.

Norfolk’s JSNA Summary Report This version of the JSNA summary report allows the use of each individual image from the report. You will be able to copy and use the images in your own reports and presentations, making use of this different way of presenting information. I would remind you that these images have been developed from the data available at the time the report was developed in spring 2014, and some of the datasets will have been updated now. Each image has a date and source for the information and it is important that in using these images you highlight that the data may have now been updated. However, for most of the datasets, the overall changes will be gradual and so the images will remain relevant for some time. Judy Lomas JSNA Manager September 2014

Health and Wellbeing Board The JSNA is produced by Norfolk’s Health and Wellbeing Board in partnership with Norfolk County Council. The JSNA has helped identify local health priorities that the Health and Wellbeing Board have included in their Health and Wellbeing Strategy for Norfolk. The priorities are: Starting Well – Promoting the social and emotional wellbeing of pre-school children Living Well – Reducing obesity Ageing Well – Making Norfolk a better place to live for people with dementia and their carers These priorities will help clinical commissioning groups and local authorities when they buy health and care services for the public.
