Beyond Divorce (…and other bad times)

“The worst thing is never the last thing!” Dr. Michael Gardner, Easter Season 2015

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope,

through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. (I Peter 1:3, NRSV)

In hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is not hope at all.

For who hopes for what we already can see? (Romans 8:24)

1) I went back to Church. 2) I learned to accept myself. 3) I spent time with people who really believed in me.

“Tough times never last. It just feels like they will.”

In this (the living hope) you can rejoice, even if now,

for a little while, you have had to suffer various trials. (I Peter 1:6, NRSV)

“What makes you think we have never been through the things that break families apart?”

“We have, several times. You will too. We just never gave up on one another.”

“The worst thing is never the last thing!” Dr. Michael Gardner, Easter Season 2015
