 The Romantic hero is a literary archetype referring to a character who rejects established norms and conventions and who has been rejected by society.  Regularly exhibits melancholy, misanthropy, alienation, regret, and isolation

 The lovely Lucie Manette—the love of your life, of course!

 A valentine– ooh la la!

 Profess your undying love for Lucie Manette and convince her why you are the best potential suitor.  Take into consideration your position as a ROMANTIC HERO.  Be utterly candid and honest with Lucie by acknowledging your own strengths and weaknesses.

 Be sure you can support your decisions with any significant quotes ( a minimum of three ) from the text; please consider all of the chapters we have read thus far from Book II.  Write your quotes after you complete your letter. Be sure to cite them according to MLA guidelines.

 The front of your valentine must display at least two images that you feel accurately represent the overall message/argument of your love letter to Lucie.
