Building Village Eco-Houses in Anji Ren Weizhong, In The Wheatfield Rural Workshop

Programme Concept

To introduce new ecological technology while improving on traditional technology in the building of energy-efficient, safe and comfortable rural homes that incorporate modern designs.

Use of construction materials found in the rural area (mainly earth, wood and bamboo)

Where does the earth come from? Leveling the ground for house foundation

The advantages of earth and the implication for the ecology –Use of local resources which is almost freely available –Energy consumption of energy for the building of rammed earth wall is almost zero –Rammed earth is biodegradable –Good insulation and reduces energy consumption when inhabited

Where does the wood come from? Build dynamic balance between forest conservation and demand for wood by means of crop rotation

The ecological implication of wood building The production process of wood captures and stores carbon dioxide and improves the environment The processing of wood is most energy efficient Wood is recyclable and renewable and does not create garbage Wood is safe, healthy, not radioactive and does not pose risks to our bodies.
