Agricultural Pollution Control Project Monitoring of social effects

Objective To asses the social impact of the project on both components: Garbage and manure management Environmental friendly agricultural practices

Research methodology Quantitative methods - survey focused on individual households Qualitative methods - community’s studies focused on the local communities

Quantitative method Target population: individual households Sample: random sample of 500 cases representative for the households of the 7 communes Instrument : questionnaire

Questionnaire: Environmental friendly agricultural practices (including crop rotation, crop nutrient management with soil testing and use of organic manure) Garbage and manure management Sources of information for agricultural activities Project’s impact (information about the project, opinion and attitudes towards it) Household’s resources

Qualitative method: Target population Local communities Agricultural associations Instruments: Community’s fiche In-depth interviews Associations’ fiche

Community’s fiche Objective: socio-demographic and economic profile Respondents: local representatives (mayor, vice-mayor, townhall secretary), medical stuff (doctor, nurse) Number: 7 fiches
