 Lets learn about the differences between a rabbit and a hare.

 are smaller than hares.  are born with their eyes closed and without hair.  have ears and hind legs that are shorter.

 bigger than rabbits.  born fully furred and eyes wide open.  able to hop only a few hours after being born.

 cannot move when they are born.  have two pairs of front teeth.  have a keen sense of smell.

 Jackrabbits are really hares.  Can jump as far as 20 feet.  Don’t swim as well as rabbits.

 Eat tree bark.  Rest and sleep in the daytime.  Eat and play after the sun goes down.

 Read and decide if it is a rabbit or a hare.
