Hello and Happy Monday! Today you need: Your planner. Your READING comp. book. White reading log A book to read. Everything else on the floor.

I can reflect on my reading records by using my comp. book score and last week’s reading log in order to make goals for the remainder of the quarter.  What are we going to do?(one word)  What are we going to use ? (two things)  Why are we doing it? (I think you can figure it out )

In Your Reading Comp. Book…  On the next blank page, write out today’s date on the first blue line.  Title it Reading Reflection #4.  Add it to your Table of Contents.

Observations Book Log—Everyone had one. Fill in missing info if you left something blank. Don't just write "fiction" for genre. Table of Contents—Most students had all of the 13 assignments. Title of Book, not "Book Write." Book Writes—Many good annotations. Underline titles of books. Include author’s name. Big problem with summaries. Some were 1-3 sentences. Most did not summarize the whole story. Give actual names of people you would recommend your book to. Use the book write guidelines on page 2 of your comp. book. Do not waste pages by putting 6 stickies on a page if you've done 40 stickies. In the future, don't bother doing a book write if you have not done at least 15+ annotations with it. Use the red left hand margin. It's there to guide you.

(indent) When I look back at my reading logs, I see one of my areas of strength is…This is probably because (indent) The book I am reading now is titled……….. by…… I’m guessing I’ll be done with it by…..
