Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not weary; 2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but to the contrary we plainly set forth the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. B. Paul’s Message was Veiled to Unbelievers And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. II Cor. 4:3,4 It is Satanically manufactured It is a veil of destruction It hides the light of the glory of Christ

C. Paul’s Christ Can Penetrate the Darkness of Unbelief For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who commanded, “let the light shine out of darkness,” has shined His light in our hearts, to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. II Cor. 4:5.6 Jesus is Lord is our message God alone can penetrate the darkness God alone can illuminate the heart

Summary We are not to be discouraged The work depends on God, not us It is not our fault people are blind They are blind due to unbelief They are blind because of the god of this age Jesus alone can penetrate the darkness Jesus alone must be our message The light of the glory of God comes by Jesus
