Presentation transcript:

Cocaine – Cocaine is the 7 th hardest drug to quit. It prevents the reabsorption of dopamine in the brain’s reward areas. Once you use enough blow, your brain reduces the number of dopamine receptors & leads you to just take it even some more.

Alcohol – Alcohol is the 6 th hardest drug to quit. It is well often consumed in most of the social settings. Since the addictive properties in alcohol include its effect on the reward system in the brain it leads to intense cravings.

Crystal Meth - Crystal meth is the 5 th hardest drug. It imitates a brain chemical, wiring the brain to crave more and more. It causes a cycle of craving that is extremely difficult to overcome.

Methadone – Methodone is the 4 th hardest drug to quit. It is used to treat heroin addiction. It helps you to stay off heroin but its major problem is that the tolerance to Methadone is a sign of Methadone addiction which is very-very difficult to quit. Nicotine – Nicotine is the 3 rd hardest drug to quit. It is sold legally. When trying to quit smoking it become difficult because the reward center in the brain becomes hypersensitive to the lack of nicotine.

Crack Cocaine – Crack cocaine occupies the 2 nd place. It is more powerful than powder cocaine. Since crack cocaine users also abuse other drugs they have to undergo medical detox and drug treatment Heroin – Heroin is the 1 st hardest drug to quit. The high fat solubility of heroin helps it reach the brain very quickly. Moreover, heroin withdrawal symptoms are incredibly severe, making quitting a huge challenge
