ONLINE PROJECT MONITORING SYSTEM RECLAMATION OF KAPULUPPADA & AJITHSINGH NAGAR MSW DEMPSITES THROUGH BIO – MINING PROCESS AT GVMC & VMC SWACHHA ANDHRA CORPORATION DEPARTMENT OF MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION & URBAN DEVELOPMENT

The bio-mining/bio-remediation process involves collecting and/or digging up the existing waste, stabilizing the waste, spreading and sun drying/mechanical drying of waste followed by screening & segregating the waste through mechanical process. The combustibles (such as plastic, cloth, woody matter) will be separated to use as RDF. 8 This Biomining Process will helps in minimizing environmental impact by reducing the existing air pollution, ground water contamination, etc. GVMC & VMC can mitigate uncontrolled methane (CH4) emissions into atmosphere. The reclaimed land cam be used for other developmental activities. They have the advantage of producing less odor, covering a larger area in less time and can be located closer to buildings without end angering the integrity of the buildings. Avoided or reduced costs of landfill closure and post closure care and monitoring Revenues from recyclable and reusable materials, e.g., ferrous metals, aluminum, plastics, and glasses. Combustible waste and reclaimed soil are sold as fuel and construction fill, or for other uses. The plastics and the inert depending upon the quality can be extruded at high temperature to make value added products such as pavements, railway sleepers, lamp posts, fencing posts, bricks, etc.- providing value added products as well as successful recycling of waste. The City Compost generated from bio-mining process will enrich the agriculture fields by additional carbon for more yield, apart from earning subsidy of Rs.1500/- per ton from central Govt. Benefits of the project
