Vocabulary is Important Vocabulary is vital to communicating with others and understanding what one is reading. I know that information is known to everyone, but acknowledging it instead of taking it for granted adds important goals to your child's list of basic skills to master. If your child is struggling with reading comprehension, then add more concentration of studying words in context. Encourage your children to look up words that they do not understand.

Vocabulary i s all words that someone knows or uses it there is many ways that teacher uses it to present it to ss Vocabulary is the study of:  The meanings of words Many words have several different meanings each, study the meanings of the words and the part of speech.  How the words are used Study the words in context, apply what you learn by writing sentences with your words.  Root words, prefixes, suffixes Studying these will aid in the study of vocabulary.

What do we mean by highlighted words Its words highlighted in a yellow color in the text Grade12

Why are some words in the reading texts highlighted? 1- Because it is important 2- Because these words reflect to the lesson 3-It is new words (unfamiliar) to student 4-and it is the main words of the subject of the text

Do you think the highlighted words in the reading texts include all the new words? There is a lot of highlighted words includes new words, but sometimes you can find some words are important but not highlighted In the first grade all words are important because every new vocabulary has a picture refer to it also the teacher complain because all the book is pictures there is no vocabulary. In upper stages there is a lot of highlighted words beside it there is some important words but not highlighted

What is the solution? The solution is easy. It is not necessary that every word should be highlighted. The teacher can teach the un highlighted words in a different way in first stages 1-4 the pictures are very important to learn the new vocabulary easily

Are all words highlighted active or passive? What does TB say to them? According to the TB we can see that most of highlighted words are active and there is a little of passive words active vocabulary is learned for performance in any communication act. It should be taught focusing on the pronunciation correct form appropriate collocation and meaning that Ss can easily remembe r Passive vocabulary it is not essential for production in speaking or writing It is meant by recognition and understanding

Are there lesson that have too many unfamiliar words ? how do you know? Yes there is a lot of unfamiliar words Ss don’t know before for example in 1-4 because the learner is young and he build and gain new vocabulary also he don’t study it before. In upper stages Ss take a new topics and subjects with new vocabulary

Are there lessons that have too difficult for learners? Give example? Some of the lessons have difficult words, but not all the lessons have difficult words. In 1-4 some words are very long difficult to pronounce it and to remember it easily. In upper stages the text is scientific or medical that contains difficult vocabulary
