Day 2, 5–2 Essential Question How can constructed-response items be used to increase the rigor of our courses and improve student performance?

Day 2, 5–3 Learning Objectives By the conclusion of this segment, you will be able to:  Use the Formative Item Pool to select constructed-response items to include in lessons  Use the User Guide to the Formative Item Pool  Practice scoring a constructed-response item using the End-of-Course Constructed-Response Rubric  Understand the scoring of constructed-response items on the End-of-Course Assessment

Day 2, 5–4 The Formative Item Pool  225 multiple-choice items  25 constructed-response items that are sequenced to provide scaffolding  10 types of constructed-response items  Practice items for end-of-course tests
