FIRST BATTLE OF BULL RUN Ruben Gomez Jazmin Lopez Jimena flores

Irvin McDowell  He was born in Columbus, Ohio.  He was commission a second lieutenant.  He was brevetted captain at Buena Vista and served in the Adjutant generals department after the war.  In July 1846, McDowell was giving a command of the department of the pacific.  October15, 1818 – May 4, 1885 (age 66)

 He fought against Union Maj.  Johnston was trained as a civil engineer at the U.S. Military academy.  He was a career U.S. Army officer, serving with distinction in the Mexican-American War and Seminole wars.  He was also one of the most senior general officers in the confederacy state army.  February 3, 1807 – March 21, 1891 (age 84) Joseph e. Johnston
