Case 4 A CASE OF ASTHMA Mrs. H.M One fine evening one of my old patient reported to me for his wife. He said he is frustrated with his life. During interview it was found out the every night at 3 a.m., his wife would get an attack of Asthma.

He said literally he can set the clock and it is 3 a.m. sharp when she gets the attack.

Another important point is that as soon as they have sexual relation, she would get severely aggravated with Asthma.

Rubrics to be prescribed on  Periodicity- asthma at 3 a.m  Complaints after coition

Since the periodicity of the asthma is so marked I typed for periodicity

I chose a rubric from complete were cedron is given as a 3 marks remedy for periodicity.

Based on these points, wife was prescribed Cedron powders night along with plenty of placebo. After 2 weeks, husband comes with lot of gifts and a box of sweets.

He said he is much obliged and was very thankful. He said his wife does not get attacks any more, and they can easily enjoy married life without any problem. Now 12 years have passed, patient has no attack of Asthma.

Learning: In a case were only 1 or 2 PQRS symptoms are present in such a situation a general view over a case would help us in prescribing, like in this case periodicity as well as modalities were considered as rubrics to prescribe.
