Helen Adams Keller (June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968) was an American author, political activist, and lecturer. She was the first deafblind person to earn a bachelor of arts degree. The story of how Keller's teacher, Anne Sullivan, broke through the isolation imposed by a near complete lack of language, allowing the girl to blossom as she learned to communicate, has become widely known through the dramatic depictions of the play and film The Miracle Worker.

Anne Sullivan Macy (1866–1936), better known as Anne Sullivan, was an American teacher, best known for being the instructor and lifelong companion of Helen Keller. Sullivan’s childhood was so dark. Her and their contracted an eye infection when she was eight years old which left her blind and without reading or writing skills. Her’s father abused and her and her’s brother were discarded by relative. Anne received her education as a student of the Perkins School for the Blind where upon graduation she became a teacher to Helen Keller. Anne Sullivan was an exceptionally good teacher whose work is still recognized and spoken of today.

Helen keller became ill at age two and was left blind and deaf. She grew up in a world of darkness and emptiness. One day, she met the most important day in her life. She met teacher “Sullivan”. She led her to teach words, language. Sullivan led her into her room and gave her a doll. When she played with it a little while, Sullivan slowly spelled into her hand the word “d-o-l-l.” She didn’t know that she was spelling a word or even that words existed.

One day, Sullivan had tried to impress it upon her that “m-u-g” is mug and that “w-a-t-e-r” is water, but she persisted in confounding the two. She became impatient at her repeated attempts, she broke her doll. She couldn’t feel any regret. Sullivan brought her outdoor. Helen felt a misty consciousness as of something forgotten – a thrill of returning thought; and somehow the mystery of language was revealed to me. That living word awakened her soul, gave it light, hope, joy, set it free.

Helen and Sullivan’s story is well-known. We read the story when we were children. She overcame her disable and gave a hope to many world speople. It was result of her effort, but Ms. Sullivan helped her pushfully. Actually, Sullivan had had disable, too. She couldn’t see world at all when she was child. But Sullivan met a good volunteer. She and her’s brother were discarded by relative, she was considered troublesome.

But an volunteer didn’t give up her. So she could grow up a good people. Fortunately, she had an eyes operation by a kind doctor favor. Finally, she could see the world and she also helped who needs miracle, too. I was touched the Sullivan’s story more. Furthermore, the Sullivan story made Helen’s story meaningful.
