What Older Christians Can Do Prepared by Chris Reeves * Inman Park church of Christ Gospel Meeting * September 24, 2008

 Make God Your Refuge (vv.1-6) There are troubled times in the world How can older Christians face these times? Examples of faith and trust: Abraham, Moses, Caleb and David

 Set a Godly Example (vv.7-13) There are enemies of God today How can older Christians face these enemies? Examples of godly influence: Enoch, Noah, Barzillai and Paul

 Resolve to Teach God’s Word (vv.14-21) There is a need today for sound teaching How can older Christians meet this need? Examples of resolute teaching: Abraham, Joshua, Israelites, Paul, and older Christians

 Vow to Worship God (vv.22-24) There is a need for scriptural worship How can older Christians meet this need? Examples of joyful worship: Jacob, Job, David, Zacharias, Elizabeth, and Anna

 Psalm 71 is a prayer... Is it your prayer?  As we grow older we should get more mature and more faithful, not less  God has no “retirement plan” in his kingdom  There are many young people, new generations, who need your faith, influence, teaching, and worship
