HABITAT Cougars live in north, central, and south america. They prefer to live in mountains and forests.

FOOD A cougar is a obligate carnivore, meaning it needs to feed on meat to survive.obligate carnivore The cougars prey on animals like deer, elk, moose, and big horn sheep but will eat anything they can catch.

BODY Cougars are the fourth largest cat. They can weigh about 220 pounds. Cougars have large paws and the largest hind legs in the cat family.

FUN FACT Cougars are able to leap as high as 18 ft in the air and as far as 45 ft long. They can run about 50 mph.
