Customer is planning a deployment of ConfigMgr to take advantage of the SP1 enhancements as an enabler for Windows 8 deployments and management of Mac devices. Windows Intune cloud service extends ConfigMgr deployments to manage mobile devices. Customer can create a single pane view of all devices through the ConfigMgr console. If O365 is deployed, Windows Intune leverages existing ADFS to drive greater efficiency for the customer.

Management can be enabled for software distribution, compliance monitoring, policy control and settings management. Customer is continually deploying and updating software and is challenged to understand current PC landscape. PC landscape assessment is particularly difficult with non-domain joined PCs. Customer currently uses several non-integrated deployment and management tools. Customer needs a way to assess what updates have been applied to all PCs before rolling out O365. Customer needs mechanism to update all PCs to meet Single Sign-On requirements. Customer may need tool to roll out Office bits. Customer wants to target specific updates to specific users. Windows Intune can be used to assess the customer device estate and apply necessary updates and ready PCs for Office 365. Windows Intune is also an efficient way to deploy Office bits. Windows Intune enables a richer SW targeting and distribution management experience after the deployment.

Windows Intune enables IT to extend management to remote windows PCs. The per-user license allows IT to optimize their management investment, covering multiple devices per user.

Education customer is looking for a way to better manage Macs, Windows and non-Windows PCs and mobile devices. IT support services resources are limited. Currently deploying Education SKU of Office 365. Organization includes many dispersed locations. Management needs extend to Faculty, Administrative, and Lab devices. May already have CoreCal as part of EA. Windows Intune can provide an efficient way to manage PCs and devices across the organization. Implementation of IT console with single pane of glass view can increase productivity of IT support services. Utilize Windows Intune to deploy Office bits to Windows PCs.

Customer has a large contract workforce that utilize their own Windows PCs and various mobile devices (BYOD). Customer may have deployed ConfigMgr; but not for all machines. PCs are typically non- domain joined. Customer is struggling to maintain PC update status across multiple types of devices in multiple locations. IT policies not consistently implemented when not domain joined or not a corporate asset. Device population includes multiple platforms. Windows Intune cloud services can efficiently manage non-domain joined Windows PCs and Android, IOs, and Windows mobile devices.

Customer is considering new EA that includes CoreCal and has not implemented an integrated device management solution. Customer is challenged with various types of devices across geography. Customer’s Current Infrastructure Optimization profiling is Basic. Customer needs help with planning and implementing deployment. Customer needs a way to survey current device status before deploying licenses. Customer is currently using AD and WSUS. Windows Intune Add-on can enable new EA customers to address IO maturity concerns. Customer can utilize Windows Intune to assess current status of Windows PCs and mobile devices. Customer can enforce critical deployments and utilize Company Portal to define user-selected deployments.

Customer is using a third party solution for PC desktop management and anti-virus; contract is expiring. Device population includes user and company owned PCs. Non-domain joined PCs are not managed. Customer is looking for a simpler, integrated, cost effective approach to device management. Customer is using multiple vendors for patch, firewall, anti-virus, software distribution management. Customer environment has multiple types of devices (Windows PC, Mac, Windows RT, Windows Phone 8 iOS, Android). Windows Intune integrates the device management tools IT requires most. Use rights to Configuration manager provides the option to extend management to non-Windows PCs.

Customer is looking for an all-in-the-cloud device solution to drive efficiencies. Don’t want premise device management. Want a single tool for management and security. Customer has Windows PCs installation. Windows Intune is an easily implemented cloud management solution for customers with limited IT resources. Customers or partners can mange all Windows PCs and various mobile device platforms from a single management tool.
