Revision in Science

Key Steps Be organised.....use your Science plastic display folder. Put all your revision notes, exam questions etc in it! Work in a quiet place or with soft background music (you do not want to overstimulate your brain!). Work out what you need to know. Use the topic outline in No Brain Too Small to break up your revision into sections

Chunking! Chunk it! 20 mins solid concentration on one aspect of your learning. 10 mins reward. (facebook, playstation, tv etc). You should not be giving yourself rewards until you have earned it! Allocate your time for Science. ½ every night or 2 hours Monday, Wednes. Depending on how many external subjects you have. Android and apple have free study apps. to time you!

How to revise Read Write Recall Use as many ways as remembering as possible (see study skills section from no brain too small: ie. glossaries, mind maps etc)

Exam practice Remembering is fantastic Answering questions is another skill Underline all the knowledge words in the question. Then re-read the question trying to recall what you know about the knowledge words. Have a go at the question Check the answer
