Greek Goddess By Ayala E.

Girls from the beginning The mothers of all

Gaea, Mother earth – Gaea was the earth, when the earth appeared out of chaos, Gaea was…born? – Gaea was lonely so she asked chaos to make some new things, the sky. – The sky was a handsome god named Uranus, and they got together, and had 12 perfect children. Six boys and six girls. The children were named the Titans. – When the Titans were older, Gaea gave birth to triplets, they were the first cyclops. – Uranus saw them and threw through them to Tartarus covered in chains. – That happens one more time and Gaea wanted to kill Uranus. – She gave her youngest child Cronos a sickle and told him to kill his father. – When he did, Uranus cursed him that his children will kill him, too.

Rhea, Titan of mothers. – After their dad died, the Titans started getting married and having a family. Kronos wanted to marry Rhea, and because she couldn’t say no to the king of the world, she did marry him and had some babies. – When Hestia was born, Kronos saw her godliness, and swallowed her whole. – Rhea was devastated, and they tried again, four more times, each time the child was even more amazing then the last. Kronos ate them whole. – Rhea asked her mom what to do, and Gaea said to go to an island, and when she gave birth, Gaea gave her a stone. When Rhea showed Kronos the stone, he ate that too. – Rhea’s youngest son, Zeus, grew up, he killed Kronos after a 10 year war, and got all of his brothers and sisters out.

Goddesses The immortal girls

Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth and the eldest of the Gods – Hestia was very peaceful, and good. – She didn’t want to get married, because being married is Dangerous. (look at what happened to her mom!!!) – She helped her siblings with their kids, and families. – She was loved by everyone. – She protected every hearth everywhere. – If you come to a new town, no one is allowed to hurt you when you are next to the public hearth. – When the gods had an argument, or they had to take a break, they would go to the hearth, and calm down.

Demeter, goddess of Harvest. – After Hestia was swallowed by Kronos, Rhea tried again, and Demeter was born. – When Kronos saw her, He ate her too. – After Zeus’ “broke up” with his wife, he got lonely, and “got together” with Demeter, and after 9 months, Persephone was born. – Persephone was Demeter’s favorite child, and when she was taken, Demeter starved the whole world with her sadness, giving the other Gods no choice but to get back her daughter.

Demeter (Above) Hestia (opposite)

Hera, the goddess of Marriage, and the Queen of the world. – After Zeus married a few times, and swallowed/broke up with them, he tried to get Hera’s attention. – After a while, they made a deal that if Zeus got Hera to say ‘I love you’, they will get married. – Zeus shapeshifted into a cucu bird with a hurt wing, and after the bird was healed, Hera wonted to keep it as a pet. As most pet owners sometimes say to their pet, she said ‘I love you’… – Zeus transformed back into a God, and they had a wonderful wedding to witch everyone came, except for one stupid drayed, who got turned into a tree. – After the wedding Zeus and Hera Had a child, and Zeus stared going after mortol woman. Hera found a way to hurt each and everyone of the woman (who were still alive when Hera found out) and hurt the kids as well.

Aphrodite, the goddess of Love and Beauty. – When Uranus was killed, Kronos dumped the body into the ocean and out of the see foam, Aphrodite was born. – When the Horai (goddess of the seasons) found her, they Gave her clothing, and bought her to mount Olympus. – The God forgot about their wives, and begged to marry her, the Goddess hated her. – Hera decided that Aphrodite had to get married immediately, and to someone not a lot of people will find it easy to be jealous of, and that person was the god Hephaestus of fire and blacksmith. – Aphrodite cheated on Hephaestus, and when he found out he trapped her and Ares with a net, and the couple got away with only a small punishment. – Aphrodite had a belt that makes her look like the person watching her most beautiful person ever.

Athena, goddess of wisdom and warfare. – Remember what I said about Zeus swallowing one of his first wives, she Got a prophecy that if she had a boy after her girl, the kid will be better then Zeus, so he swallowed her. – That Goddess turned into pure thoughts, and her child, went to Zeus’s head, and began screaming and throwing things, and giving Zeus a headache. – Zeus asked the gods to open his head, and when they did, Athena came out. – Athena never had a child, but when Hephaestus tried to date her, and he gave her a handkerchief, a child formed, when Athena tried to turn the child immortal, the princesses who where in charge of protecting the kid messed up and died.
