Our Project Our project was to try to make different wattage light bulbs in a lamp to run off of a citrus fruit.

What worked When we plugged the lamp into the wall all of the light bulbs worked. We tried each of the fruits with several approaches to it, but nothing lit up.

What Worked

Approaches We tried the classic copper/ zinc in the fruit with wires, but that didn’t work. We also tried another kind, with paper clips and that didn’t work either.

Approaches Lemon / 19 watt Lemon /25 watt Lemon / 40 watt Lime/ 19 watt Lime/ 25 watt Lime/ 40 watt Orang e/19 watt Orang e/ 25 watt Orang e/ 40 watt Grape- fruit/ 19 watt Grape- fruit/ 25 watt Grape- fruit/ 40 watt Copper / Zinc No Copper / Paper Clip No

Conclusion We learned that, even though it didn’t work, it’s not very easy to get (or try) a citrus fruit to run a light bulb. We also learned that it’s fun to try to change a project around, even if it doesn’t work.
