Presentation transcript:

What is the process or steps for making a good decision?

Watch the following video on the Decision Making Process: CeuVrBD3Uw CeuVrBD3Uw

The hardest part of most decisions is identifying the problem. Try to define it and if possible, write it down.

Consider and/or write down all of the information that will help you make a good decision.

Make a list of possible solutions.

Evaluate the pros and cons for each possible solution.

Select the best solution for you (not your parents or friends!).

How will you act on your decision? Create an action plan with the steps that you need for carrying out the decision.

Did you make a good decision that you are comfortable using? Did you choose the best solution from your list? Why or why not? Did your action plan work? What would you do differently next time?

Watch the following video. Jake has a broken phone that he wants to replace. See how he uses the decision making process to decide which new phone to buy. a3tth4

Work in small groups and identify a decision that your group wants to make. Apply the steps in the decision making process to reach a decision and then, evaluate the possible outcome. Use all 7 steps of the decision making process. Write out all 7 steps to discuss in class and then turn in.
