* PANSY FACTS * Reaches 12 inches in height * Flower colors include red, orange, purple, pink, blue, white, yellow and lavender. * Best grown in morning sunlight. * Commonly seen in late fall and early spring. * They have a delicate perfume-like aroma.

* HOW TO GROW PANSIES * If pansies are to grow from seeds they are to be grown inside. * The seed tray should be covered to keep out light. * The seed tray should also be in a cool location during germination. * They need to be inside for 8 to 10 weeks before they are transplanted outside. * They should be planted outside in late summer early fall

* PEST CONTROL * These plants suffer from very few pests but aphids, spider mites and slugs or snails have been known to attack them. Aphids attack them the most * To control these pest use insecticidal soap. * Use the insecticidal soap on weekly basis as long as needed. * Will irritate eyes and skin. * PPE: Wear gloves and safety glasses.
