Save The Penguins! An organization to save South African penguins By Agustin Wainstein, Dan Sapoznik y Federico Hechtenkopf

Our Objetive We aim to stop the fishing in the areas of habitat of penguins. Human fishing competes with the Penguins and can eliminate their food supply. Flying birds can hunt in a wider territory, and some such as sea gulls can adapt to other types of food, but penguins must eat the local fish. In some places, the human fishing industry also directly kills the penguins. They get snared in nets, and are even deliberately killed and their meat used as bait.

Distribution of the Budget The penguins feed on sardines and anchovies, then we want to do is paying the companies who are encharged of selling these products to the tune of 7 million euros to limit their fishing in the penguins habitat area.

The First Part of Our Save Plan We will fight for the right to penalize companies that kill penguins to their advantage, with the money raised will create an artificial habitat for Antarctic penguins affected by oil.

HELP US SAVING THESE GREAT ANIMALS!
