Agenda Staff Day to day outline Sleeping arrangements Equipment Preparations at home – HELP!

Staff : Mrs Kingsnorth MrsChadwick and one other 3 additional East Barnby Centre staff every day and for all daytime activities/ meal times.

Monday 9.30Leave school approxArrive at East Barnby Allocate beds, make beds, unpack Welcome talk 12.30Lunch 1.30Seashore visit and rock-pooling at Runswick Bay. 5.30Evening meal 6.30 onwardsEvening activities 8.30 Supper and Bed

Tuesday 7.30Get up, get dressed, make beds etc. 8.30Breakfast 9.30Canoeing (includes packed-lunch) 5.00Back to Centre for shower and evening meal 6.30onwardsEvening activities 8.30Supper and Bed

Sleeping arrangements 2 dormitories buildings allocated for our school. Dormitory 1 – 2 rooms of 10, 2 rooms of 4 plus 2 adults Dormitory 2 – 1 room of 10 plus 1 adult Bunk beds. Security on Centre: Gated and locked in the evening. Dormitory alarms.

Equipment As on kit list Safety equipment, waterproofs, wellies will be provided by the Centre. Pocket Money: £5 maximum in a named purse, please. Change rather than notes. There is a tuck shop at the centre that sells drinks, sweets and souvenirs.

EQUIPMENT LIST PLEASE LABEL ALL CLOTHING 1 set casual clothes and footwear to wear evenings around Centre 3 (minimum)old woollen/fleece sweaters (bring extra in winter) 3 (minimum) sweatshirts/shirts 3 (minimum) T-shirts 3 (minimum) pairs old trousers (denims are not really suitable) 1 pair trainers 3 (minimum) thick pairs of socks Hat and gloves (sun hat/sun cream/sun glasses/insect repellent in summer) Lip salve 2 Towels Underwear Nightwear Toiletries in a suitable bag Small amount of cash for Tuck Shop (Bears £2.00, Caps £4.00 approx.) Old newspapers to dry out boots Plastic Bag (for wet clothing)Name clearly with a marker pen, please Drinks Bottle or Flask (clearly labelled with your name)

OTHER USEFUL ITEMS Writing materials Book to read / a small quiet game Cameras may be taken at your own risk WHAT NOT TO BRING Radios, Mobile phones, Jewellery, Nintendo DS/PSP and similar computer games Extra food or sweets (Meal time food is sufficient and there is a tuck shop.) Please label all clothes and equipment East Barnby Centre does provide: Walking boots /wellies, waterproof tops and trousers, and small rucksacks.

Medication – To be handed to Mrs Kingsnorth on Monday morning in a bag with clearly named with instructions. Preparations at home – HELP! Labelled clothes Bin liners or large plastic bags NAMED purse with change Bed making!
