HIALEAH INSTITUTE ALTERNATIVE MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL

Hialeah Institute is located in City of Hialeah in Miami Dade County Hialeah is the fifth largest City in the State of Florida based on population of 215,000 (1998)

WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL Hialeah Institute is funded by the Educational Alternative Outreach Program of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and administered by the Cuban American National Council. It opened its doors during the summer of the year 1990.

OUR MISSION To create a positive and safe environment that is conducive to learning and where the students and staff can strive for Excellence.

About our Students Hialeah Institute currently serves 180 students grades 7th to 12th. ( 62% male and 38% female students and 68% Hispanic and 32 % African-American students).Most of the students come from low income, working class families. They represent many countries, being Hispanics born in the USA. Countries include: Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Republica Dominicana, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, and Chile are represented in our student population.
