We're tough, we're ready for whatever mission We are the Twenty-Fifth History of the Company The 25th Infantry Division Signal Company was originally constituted as the 25th Signal Company assigned to the 25th Infantry Division and activated at Schofield Barracks on 1 October 1941. The company received its baptism of fire on 7 December 1941 during the Japanese attack on Hawaii.   The 25th Signal Company went on to participate in the Guadalcanal Northern Solomon’s and Luzon campaigns, receiving a Philippine Presidential Units Citation for its operations during the Luzon campaign. The 25th Signal Company participated in all ten campaigns of the Korean War receiving two Meritorious Unit Commendations and two Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citations. On 1 February 1957, 25th Signal Company was re-designated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 125th Signal Battalion. As part of the modular conversion of the 25th Infantry Division, the 125th Signal Battalion was inactivated on 15 November 2005 after 64 continuous years of service with the Tropic Lightning. After the deactivation of the 125th Signal Battalion the company was designated C Company, 25th Special Troops Battalion on 16 November 2005 where it deployed to Iraq for service during Operation New Dawn. On 10 January 2010, the company was designated as Division Signal Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 25th Infantry Division as it remains today.

Incoming Commander: CPT Paul A. Anderson Outgoing Commander: CPT Adam C. Grines Biography Captain Adam C. Grines is a native of Toomsuba, Missisippi. He was commissioned through the Officer Candidate School as a Signal Corps Officer in 2008. Captain Grines has served in numerous positions to include: Platoon Leader, 575th Support Company, 41st Fires Brigade, Fort Hood, TX where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In August 2009, Captain Grines was assigned as an Executive Officer, 275th Signal Company, 41st Signal Battalion, 1st Signal Brigade, Camp Coiner, Korea. He was later assigned as the Assistant Battalion S3/Plans Officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 41st Signal Battalion, 1st Signal Brigade, Camp Coiner, Korea. In March 2013, Captain Grines completed the Signal Captain’s Career Course in Ft. Gordon, Georgia. Upon completion, he was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division, G6 as a Network Operations Officer. In June 2013, Captain Grines was assigned to the 2d Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment as the Battalion S6. In January 2014 Captain Grines was assigned Commander of Charlie Company, 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, and was with the Battalion as it was reflagged as the 29th Engineer Battalion. Captain Grines’ is a graduate of the Basic Officer Leaders Course, Signal Officer Basic Course, and the Signal Captain’s Career Course. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with 1 Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal with 5 Notches, National Defense Service Medal with Star, Iraq Campaign Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Recruiter Badge with 3 Sapphires, and Bronze Order of Mercury. Incoming Commander: CPT Paul A. Anderson Biography Captain Paul A. Anderson is currently assigned to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii as the Division Signal Company Commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 25th Infantry Division. Division Signal Company’s mission is to provide expeditionary and sustained land operations communication support and network operations for enduring and operational USARPAC and 25th Infantry Division missions throughout the Pacific Area of Operations. CPT Anderson is a native of Portland, Jamaica. He was commissioned through R.O.T.C. and selected for immediate active duty in the Signal Corps with a branch detail in the Infantry. His first assignment was the Gold Bar Recruiter for Indiana University of Pennsylvania. CPT Anderson’s next assignment was to 2nd Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment “Vanguards,” 170th IBCT in Baumholder, Germany where he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Support Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer. He deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 11-12, where he spent majority of his time serving as the Battalion’s Support Platoon Leader. After redeploying from Afghanistan, he was selected to serve as the HHC Executive Officer with responsibility for de-activating the 2nd Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment (2012). CPT Anderson attended and completed the Signal Career Course at Fort Gordon, Georgia in 2013. Next, he was assigned as the Battalion S6 of the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment “Wolfhounds,” 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. After two years, CPT Anderson was selected to serve as the Division’s Network Operation Officer within the ACoS G6. CPT Anderson holds a Bachelors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. His military education includes Joint Planner’s Course, Signal Captain’s Career Course, Infantry Officer Basic Course, and Airborne School. CPT Anderson’s military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), Army Achievement Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Expert Infantryman Badge, and Parachutist Badge. CPT Anderson is married to the former Kailyn VanBeckum. They have one child Arya (1).
